Las Vegas Aces Win 2022 WNBA Championship

The Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix has officially announced its race dates November 16-18, 2023. A variety of ticketing options will be released soon, including general admission tickets, grandstand seating, and VIP hospitality packages.
In May 2022, Liberty Media, owner of F1, entered an agreement to acquire 39 acres site east of the Las Vegas Strip for $240 million.

New Multifamily Development Breaks Ground in North Las Vegas

Yesterday, Grand Canyon Development Partners and OS Construction Services, Inc. broke ground on “North Park Living”, a 380-units multifamily development located at 4100 Scott Robinson Blvd.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, North Park Living owner Rian Ross, Grand Canyon Development Partners, and OS Services, Inc made a $10,000 donation to local Findlay Middle School. Mayor Pro-Tem Pamela Goynes-Brown also attended the groundbreaking and helped celebrate the ceremony.

Last week, the Nevada Legislature’s Interim Finance Committee (IFC) has approved $35,229,235 for the next three years in federal U.S. Department of the Treasury funds to the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) 2.0 program, as a response to the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The $35 million represents the first phase of the $105 million SSBCI 2.0 program. The United States Treasury is expected to announce approval for the plan that the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) has submitted.
“This first phase of funding will hopefully lead to up to $105 million over the entire duration of the program to bolster our small business owners,” said Governor Steve Sisolak.

Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) has named Amber Stidham as Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer of the organization.
Stidham has more than 20 years of experience in strategic management, operations and government affairs in both private and public sectors. Prior to LVGEA, she was the Vice President of Government Affairs at the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, overseeing economic development, political, policy, and regulatory programs. Prior to that, she worked in government affairs and marketing at Regional Transportation Center (RTC) of Southern Nevada and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
