City of North Las Vegas and Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), a non-profit organization that offers housing counseling services and economic development opportunities, launched a forgivable loan program specifically for North Las Vegas small business owners who have been struggling to access funding during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program currently has $800,00 in funds that need to be disbursed, a business can apply for up to $25,000 max.
In order to qualify, businesses must be:
- For-profit.
- Physically located in North Las Vegas.
- Have a valid city business license from April 10, 2019, or prior.
- Must demonstrate revenue reduction in 2020 or 2021 compared to pre-pandemic numbers in 2019 that include any grants or other forgivable loans that were previously received, such as SBA-based PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loans.
